COUNCIL FOR THE INDIAN SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATIONS
Recently,
there’s an increasing craze for Indian parents to put their wards in
reputed schools which gives an overall importance to the academic as well as extracurricular
activities. Here comes the ICSE (Indian School Certificate Examination) Board
which meets the expectations of the parents as well as students.
ICSE
curriculum is offered by the Council for the Indian School Certificate
Examinations. It is committed to provide children with the highest quality of
education to prepare them to be caring, fair, and responsible citizen. Our

The
Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations conducts three
examinations, namely, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE
–Class X); The Indian School Certificate (ISC – Class XII) and the Certificate
in Vocational Education (CVE - Year 12).
Courses
for ICSE Curriculum
The
ICSE curriculum emphasizes an overall development covering language, arts,
science and Mathematics. English being the compulsory and first language, the
students can opt for Tamil, French, Hindi or Sanskrit as second option. Math,
science and social science are covered. Apart from this, students can opt for
elective courses right from 9th standard such as computer
application, commerce, Home science and Physical well-being and Yoga studies.
For
ICSE, Classes 11 and 12 are transitioned to Indian school certificate (ISC) exam.
The core courses are structured around three main streams: Science, Commerce,
and Humanities.
Science
stream- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics,
Commerce
stream- Accounts, Economics
Humanities
stream - History, Geography, Political Science,
Psychology
Students
also have the option to take vocational courses to achieve their desired career
goals.
